Happy Birthday Harry. "The Sorcerers Stone"

Okay, First i need to openly apologize for my lameness in writing. One would think a blog would be the inner soul of a person which would have to be updated on a daily basis. This is a true statement. Alas, i have been SUPER lame and haven't posted in eons....so i will begin a new with something amazing!!!

Today is  a very special day..it is in fact Harry Potter's BIRTHDAY!!! This is in fact a very happy day for the muggle community and the wizarding community. With the newest movie...which was in fact divine. Harry's popularity seems to be stronger than ever. One this special day i would like to review book by book. How i feel about them, and what they have meant to me in the years that have followed. I begin with the book that started it all.

"Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's (Philosopher's) Stone"

I still remember the first time i read this book. It was in the the fourth grade. And you could say it is where my connection with the boy who lived started. When i read this book, now i sometimes get bored. It is definitely the beginning of the series, and doesn't contain that dark symbolism that Mrs. Rowling incorporates in the later books. However, this does not mean it is not critical. So many things are mentioned in this book, and it begins everything that we have fallen in love with. The biggest surprise of all for me, was realizing that Snape, in fact was not evil....and the creeper Quirrel was Voldeys side kick. It was full of humor, prepubescent emotions, trolls, three headed dogs, and interest.

One could say that i was hooked. Or obsessed....which ever adjective sounds more appropriate Needless to say I LOVED that first book, and everything about it. It became my escape, and many Halloweens of being Harry Potter later, the passion that the first book started continues with me today. Although it has grown into something much more mature. And so have I. So thank you Harry and J.K. for giving me something amazing. And have a cheery birthday Mr. Potter you deserve it.
