Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban!

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban....not really my favorite. Hahah Most people love this book, but i felt that it was just missing something...or maybe someone. I think i didn't like it as much due to the fact that The Dark Lord wasn't as involved in this one as he is in all the other ones. Although the fact that Harry finds a relative helps that along. Sirius is one freaking awesome character, although cocky, and helps Harry develop a lot. The whole scabbers thing took me for a COMPLETE loop. I had no idea. That stupid rat. Shows how dim witted Mr. Ronald Weasley was....how Hermione falls for him (which begins in this book) amazes me. We do meet one of my heroes in this book that would be the infamous Remus Lupin. Really...who doesn't like this guy? And the fact that he is a werewolf makes him 569% more cool. The other redeeming factor of this book is we learn about the Patronus. The Spirit guardian that exhibits an animal that is based on our personality. Really, is there any other spell cooler than this. Any fan of HP has ,i am sure, taken a test to see what their Patronus is. (Mine is a wolf for the record....) All in all, still not my favorite, but it has a bunch of great things! Like time turners....how would i love to have a time turner!

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

Okay...firstly i have been INCREDIBLY lame in posting. Life just got in the way. As it always does. I started school at WSU and I am taking 18 credits to get my associate....and its slowly draining the life force out of me. I could do with a cheering charm....hahah Anyway, to not give up on my cool post of The world of Harry i will continue with books 2 and 3 today, and hope that mutiny will not occur for my lack of "blogness..."

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets! This is such an amazing book. For awhile (before the other books came out) this was my favorite. Most people don't like this so much, which is a fact that i will never be able to understand. It is surprisingly dark. The entire book is no, not filled with epicness. But if you read the lines of the basilisk he says some pretty intense stuff. Words such as "rip" "tear," and other atrocities that only a giant snake king would be capable of doing. Harry's "why me" factor is mildly disturbing in this book, but it makes us think of why he is so connected with the dark lord. And speaking of my favorite literary villain....there is a HUGE development which involves a nasty diary and a fragment of Voldey. So important. Lockhart is a prat. The Cornish Pixies are dumb. Hermione is still slightly obnoxious....don't worry that does change. And The Harry Ginny love is still awkward. But overall still one of my favorites in the series! If you have only watched the movie...get off your sorry toosh and read this beauty!

Happy Birthday Harry. "The Sorcerers Stone"

Okay, First i need to openly apologize for my lameness in writing. One would think a blog would be the inner soul of a person which would have to be updated on a daily basis. This is a true statement. Alas, i have been SUPER lame and haven't posted in eons....so i will begin a new with something amazing!!!

Today is  a very special day..it is in fact Harry Potter's BIRTHDAY!!! This is in fact a very happy day for the muggle community and the wizarding community. With the newest movie...which was in fact divine. Harry's popularity seems to be stronger than ever. One this special day i would like to review book by book. How i feel about them, and what they have meant to me in the years that have followed. I begin with the book that started it all.

"Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's (Philosopher's) Stone"

I still remember the first time i read this book. It was in the the fourth grade. And you could say it is where my connection with the boy who lived started. When i read this book, now i sometimes get bored. It is definitely the beginning of the series, and doesn't contain that dark symbolism that Mrs. Rowling incorporates in the later books. However, this does not mean it is not critical. So many things are mentioned in this book, and it begins everything that we have fallen in love with. The biggest surprise of all for me, was realizing that Snape, in fact was not evil....and the creeper Quirrel was Voldeys side kick. It was full of humor, prepubescent emotions, trolls, three headed dogs, and interest.

One could say that i was hooked. Or obsessed....which ever adjective sounds more appropriate Needless to say I LOVED that first book, and everything about it. It became my escape, and many Halloweens of being Harry Potter later, the passion that the first book started continues with me today. Although it has grown into something much more mature. And so have I. So thank you Harry and J.K. for giving me something amazing. And have a cheery birthday Mr. Potter you deserve it.

Happy Birthday America!

This is just a random post. I feel super happy right now. It has been a killer fourth of July! I love America and today was a wonderful day to celebrate. It began with a semi lame parade in west point...the coolest thing was seeing my sister do a back flip. She is amazing. Then Eric and I engaged in an epic battle of League of Legends and we kicked trash. We next bowled 3 games and i only got one strike and kept hitting 9 pins down, don't know what the bloody problem was hahaha, I then read some wonderful Harry Potter and took an excellent nap.
The afternoon festivities were bomb....or should i say firework...? Hawkers came over and due to the fact that Tyrel and I are both menaces to society we chilled and played Just Dance, an epic game in which i lost 3 pounds. Then Eric brought Jedediah over and we chilled. We decided to make our own fireworks, so after a quick Walmart run we were prepared. Then i met some new friends. Morgan and Cassandra came over and they were a hoot. We were accompanied by the one and only Taylor Sucese and baby we were fireworks. The entire neighborhood was lit up with lights. It was amazing, and beautiful. I love fireworks
We then all retired to the basement and played boxers or briefs. Hilarious game, but it's magic wore of quickly. We then decided to create a gossip circle and spill the beans on every ones love life heheheh fun stuff. Carly and her friend Chance then joined us and we played a thrilling game of questions. In which Carly taught me the coolest word ever. "polygadate" It speaks for itself.
All in all i had such a good time. The night was just chill and everyone got along. There was no drama or weirdness, and we enjoyed each others company so well. Definitely made some new friends, and cant wait to do this all again!

Of dents and whispers....

Well for my first real blog post....I am going spiritual! ahhaah Be prepared this is RM stuff...hahah Not really just one of those experiences that you have in life. Here i go.

Shandi came down for a delightful adventure with some of my best friends. Well after running to walmart and other such places we were to meet up at the house of my best friend Tyrel. Upon arriving at Tyrel's residence I saw my other best friend Taylor Sucese Parked in the drive way. I had that feeling thay maybe i should park as well in the drive way. Well i probably would have, but there was a sloo of teens playing some b-ball so reason kicked in. I didn't want to be a pest and ruin their game.
So i parked on the road. Thinking nothing of it. Well after greeting Taylor she left to go get some more friends. Comes to find out she was backing up....and well.... backed into my nicely parked car....note that i have had the car for 2 weeks. Dorris lasted like 5 years without damage and Eleanor lasted two weeks....i hate irony. The damage wasn't fatal and i only ended up with a dent and my side view mirror broken. No one was hurt and repairs will be made. Friends have been forgiven. ;)
What gets me is that thought i had right before i parked. What would have happened if i had parked in the drive way....? If i had followed that quiet prompting and listened. I should be a pro at this. I am a returned missionary for heavens sake. That's the thing though. It doesn't matter who we are. This kinda thing happens to us all. Whether we are returned missionaries or primary teachers. We all have that right to listen and if we don't we get dents. That's what i learned out of all this. I need to listen better. And not let reason take over. Its  so hard...but in the end, it makes all the difference. Comes to find out my car wasn't the only thing that got dented today....

Who am I?

For those of you from a more cultured pool of humankind, you may know of this amazing song from Les Miserables. IN this song our good friend sings about how he is not a number (24601) but in fact a person. So for my first blog i am going to write (not sing unfortunately) how i am as well a person and not a 5 digit number.

Who am i? I am a young man who loves his family. They mean the world to me. Everyone has unique talents and skills, that have helped me grow as a person. All of us together make who i really am. I just finished a 2 year mission in Uruguay. Best decision of my life. I love to read all books,  cook, play tennis, play the trumpet, eat delicious food, listen to amazing music, and obsess about Harry Potter. Yes as you can see from the blog itself. HP is my soul. I was there when it all started and i will be there when it ends. I am optimistic. The glass is half full for me. I love to be random, crazy, goofy, and charming. My heroes in life are Albus Dumbledore, Abraham Lincoln, Gordon B. Hinckley, Hermione Granger, Ed Douglas, and Harry Potter I love religion and mythology. Which makes me keep an open mind. I love the world i live in, and can't wait to start my own familia.

Well i now hope your know me a little better. If you don't...well my number is 24603. This is who i am. And i love it. To find out where i am from, i suggest you visit my older sisters blog and see the poem written by my little sister. It is an inspired piece of work.
